"Monique is an asset to the Tawa community. She teaches mindfulness to groups and in schools and also teaches adult education classes in crochet and Learning Dutch. She crochet bombs Tawa with her beautiful art and holds a monthly colouring class at the Tawa Community Centre. She does a lot of other volunteer work too. She lifts the spirits of people in Tawa and provides a safe space for people to be together."
